My friend Meena was recently on KCST in Washington, demonstrating her quinoa upma – a fragrant modification of “Indian porridge.”
Meena’s a lovely person, and an amazing cook. If you like Indian food and always wanted to learn to cook more, you should check out her cookbook - it’s in its second printing! She takes traditional Indian dishes and modifies them to be healthy and accessible, with North American ingredients.
And if you are lucky enough to be visiting or living in the Okanagan, Meena and Paul do Indian cooking lessons in their West Kelowna home. What a wonderful opportunity to learn, hands on, from two fantastic hosts.
We are proud of you, Meena! And can’t wait to have dinner when you get back in the country! (hint hint)
